Western Ranges Zone Combined Event – Cowra Little Athletics Centre
Due to flooding along the Lachlan River that has closed the playing fields in Cowra, the planned Western Ranges Combined event has been POSTPONED.
Our intention is to try to run the event in February 2023. An exact date will be set once we know that the field has become available for use.
We will transfer already register athletes to the new date. However, if anyone who has registered would like a refund, please email use directly at wrzsecretary@gmail.com

All registered athletes from the Western Ranges Zone Centres, Western Plains Zone Centres and Young Little Athletics Centre are invited to enter the 2022/23 Western Ranges Zone Combined Event.
When: February 2023 – exact date TBA
Starting Time: First call will be at 09:45am – First Event 10:00am
Where: Cowra Little Athletics Centre. Twigg Oval, 133 Taralaga St., Cowra. Entry via Vaux St.
Events: Each Athlete will complete the following Events by age group:
U7: 70m, 200m, Pack Start, Long Jump, Discus
U8: 70m, 200m, Pack Start, Discus, Shot Put
U9: 70m, 200m, 800m, Long Jump, Shot Put
U10: 100m, 200m, 800m, Long Jump, Discus
U11: 100m, 200m, 800m, Discus, Shot Put
U12: 100m, 200m, 800m, Long Jump, Shot Put
U13: 100m, 200m, 800m, Long Jump, Discus
U14: 100m, 200m, 800m, Discus, Shot Put
U15: 100m, 200m, 800m, Long Jump, Shot Put
U17: 100m, 200m, 800m, Long Jump, Shot Put
Entries: Entries will open once we know the dates that the ovals become available. Limited to 200 athletes.
Entry Fee: $10 per athlete payable at time of registration
Awards: Every Competitor will receive a WRZ Certificate.
Western Ranges Zone Centres also compete for the “Eric Arnold” Trophy calculated on the total Centre Point score.
CoVID-19: Event will be conducted under NSW Public Health Orders applicable at time of competition.
Please Note: – Competition will be conducted under local Rules, LANSW Rules.
– Competitors must compete in their own age group.
– Approved Centre uniform must be worn with Registration Number
– Footwear is compulsory for ALL competitors in ALL events
– Spikes may be worn as per LANSW Rules of Competition.
