The 2022 Region 3 Championships will be held on 5 – 6th February 2022 at Barden Park, Dubbo.

The final program and information is attached. This contains the fully timed track program and “not before” times listed for the field. Due to the Covid situation we will be managing the field events slightly differently than normal and we will be calling the field events to the call room via 1st and 2nd calls made by the announcer. Track events will be run as per the program with athletes required to be at the call room 20 minutes before the timetabled start time. Announcer calls will NOT be made for track event.

As always full centre uniform is required at Region. This includes the correct LANSW approved singlet/crop top, Coles patch, Age Patch, and correct registration/bib number (matching athletes entry). Please note due to covid and child protection officials/ centre helpers won’t be assisting athletes correct their uniform etc in the call room or competition area. Any athlete not in the correct uniform will be sent back to their parent/carer to correct the issue. We won’t be holding up events. Please assist us in ensuring that all your athletes are in correct uniform so we don’t have any upset parents or athletes during the weekend.
LANSW Championship medals will be presented to the U/7’s and U/8’s at Region. Medals will also be issued to placegetters in all other events via team managers.

Important COVID Information
Attached is a document that highlights some key information in relation to CoVID-19 and how we are approaching managing it at this weekend’s Regional Championships. It is important that everyone attending the Championships reads and complies with the requirements.
Importantly, anyone who has tested positive to Covid-19 or is deemed to be a close contact under the current Public Health Order within the past seven (7) days, will not be able to attend. Under the Little Athletics Rules of Competition, should an athlete have COVID or be a close contact, there is no avenue for exemptions to be granted to the State Championships.
